**Diana Ross to Star in New Broadway Musical**
**The Queen of Soul will make her Broadway debut in a show based on the life and music of Carole King.**
Tony Award winner Diane Paulus will direct the production, which is set to open in fall 2023. Ross will play King in the show, which will feature some of the singer-songwriter's most iconic hits, including "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," and "I Feel the Earth Move."
King said in a statement that she is "thrilled" that Ross will be playing her in the musical. "She is an incredible talent and I know she will bring my music to life in a beautiful way," she said.
Ross said she is "honored" to be playing King. "Her music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember," she said. "I am so excited to bring her story to the stage and share her music with a new generation of fans."
Tickets for "Beautiful" will go on sale later this year. The show will play at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City.
